Back Lane Road Closure

Back Lane Road Closure

Back Lane will be closed 5th June 2018 for one day to allow for potholes to be repaired.

Please find below a screenshot from roadworks.org that shows the extent and diversion route.

    Have you seen a Red BMW that failed to stop following a serious collision at the junction of Martins Lane & Hardingstone Lane. Monday 12th March 9.50pm.

    It will have a broken headlight and silver trim missing from the front.

    Police want to know the whereabouts of that car.

    Please do not park on the grass verges

    Please think before you park.

    With the wet weather we have been having over the last couple of months the grass verges are sodden, and get easily churned up when vehicles ride over them. This leaves deep ruts in the verges, leaving them beyond repair, and also moves mud across the footpath and road.

    Dealing with the effects of severe weather in Northampton

    Northampton Borough Council has been working hard over the past few days to catch up with missed bin collections resulting from severe weather conditions.

    The refuse collection service was suspended on both Friday and Saturday (2 and 3 March) as sending trucks out would have presented a risk to both staff and residents.

    Rail Central Consultation Notice

    Between 15 March and 23 April 2018, Ashfield Land and Gazeley will be carrying out a second stage of formal community consultation on its plans for Rail Central, the proposed new strategic rail freight interchange between Milton Malsor and Blisworth.     In the last 10 days of February there have been 5 different thefts from motor vehicles in Delapre and Briar Hill areas, a theft of a motor bike and interference to one vehicle. (There may be more we haven't heard of).
