Resident scammed by Rogue Trader - Please be aware

A resident was tricked into paying to have a roof tile fixed. The men said they would come back to fix others and then asked if they could go inside for a coffee. Luckily to resident said NO as there may have also been a distraction burglary! The men mixed concrete in a bucket on the drive. The vehicle involved was a white unmarked van –not a large one – with ladders on the top.

One man had an Irish Accent, the other an English one. A "receipt" was given

Another resident who happened to be outside a property was also told he had roof tiles loose. He was not near his property but was slowly walking along. 17th April. Again a white van involved.

THESE RESIDENTS WERE IN DIFFERENT ROADS ON DIFFERENT DAYS, BUT WERE IN AREAS WHERE THERE WERE MANY BUNGALOWS. Both these events were likely deliberate targeting of older residents.
